Prophetic Office Phone

I took this picture of my office phone last week.  Click the picture to enbiggen.

Weather ends soon.  Weather.  Ends soon.  That don't sound good.  Even Noah's flood can be considered "weather".  The only thing I can think of how this will play out is that scientists misjudged the sun's expansion by a couple billion years.  Or it's a software license thing.

Star Wars: Fast and Furious

I don't recall what store I was in when I saw this display, but I had to do a doubletake.  Please click the picture to enbiggen.

Cars played such an important role in the Star Wars franchise, it's about time Hot Wheels got around to making replicas.  And I'm glad they including ALL the vehicles, including the newest series.

Seriously WTF?  Is Mattel trying to create a new Mandela Effect when some people clearly remember the car chase scene in A New Hope?

Warnings Usually Indicate Someone Sued

Have you ever spun a bottle of Sriracha sauce around a read the back?  I hadn't until recently.  Click the picture if you wish to enbiggen.

"Person(s) and valuable items".  That raises many questions for me.  First, why does person(s) have that parenthetical "s" but items does not?  Also, is it okay to douse worthless items in this stuff?  Is its ability to do damage inversely proportional to the value of the item like some weird D&D spell?

Must Be From "No" County In Wisconsin

I had a chicken sandwich for lunch at a local hot wing place the other day.  Please click the picture to enbiggen and see if you can figure out why this is here.

Did you see the $0.50 charge for "NO CHEESE"?  I was asked if I wanted cheese on my sandwich and I said no.  I do not know why I was charged for that.  Perhaps the sandwich is born with cheese on it and it is a delicate procedure to remove it, costing an extra 50 cents.

It's A Magical, Wondrous Place

I saw this while driving an alternate route home a while back.  Please click the picture to enbiggen.

Yes, that does appear to be a shed on a trailer made into a public restroom.
Yes, it is called the "Tinkletorium".
Yes, the little people icons are all crossing their legs.
And finally, yes, I do believe it is still for sale.

That's Just Nuts

We got lunch at a major fast-food chain (not that one) the other day and while we were waiting, I noticed the stickers on the window.  Please click the picture to enbiggen.

Do you see anything odd?  Let's zoom in a bit on the left.

"Peanuts and other nuts..."  Other nuts.  Like acorns. Is that the only image they could use for "other nuts"?  Perhaps they actually do use acorns so that would need to be disclosed.  I think the next time I'm there I'll ask for acorns in my concrete and see what they say.

Unpredictable Missouri Weather

My phone at work has a convenient weather app.  Last week, it had a bit of a misunderstanding (I hope).  You may click the picture to enbiggen.

I thought it had been unseasonably warm as of late.  I guess I just need my light jacket today.

U Can't Touch This

Today's post comes courtesy of field correspondent, Shu (which is a phrase I haven't typed in a long time).

He writes:
It's okay for customers to change the thermostat, but don't dare as much as touch the GM. No word on their policy of feeding the bear.

Google Translate Never Lets You Down

Soooo, it's been a while.  Mayhap you've noticed that there has been a couple things going on in the world and I have been a bit... distracted.  In any case, I am going to try to get back on track with the postings, because the weirdness in this world hasn't let up.

What we have here is a pic of the box from a water bottle pump.  It works very well and is quite convenient.  However, the description has some interesting wording.  Please click the picture to enbiggen.

small and easy handy.  Who wouldn't want that?

material and child standard silicone tube.  I've got nothing.

Barbecue.  Just... barbecue.
