What About the Retards?

This is a warning sheet that was included with a projector we purchased. I would like to draw your attention to the second sentence, if you please (click the picture to enbiggen). If they are going to include a specific warning about children, why stop there? "Never let the infirmed look into the lens when it is on." "Never let stand-up comedians look into the lens when it is on." "Never let bats look into the lens when it is on." (Actually, that last one is probably okay, since they already blind as, well...)

Anyone who understands the premise of the first sentence can apply it to all other circumstances. Those who do not will probably not be moved by the second sentence.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I Present... "QUAKING ASPEN"

We recently went skiing with a group in Colorado. As we have skied with these people on several occasions, we have developed some traditions. My favorite by far is contributed by Dr. “The Original Chip” Mac, Esq.: SNOW PORN!!! Below, please find images of his latest masterpiece, entitled Quaking Aspen.

This beauty was sculpted just off of our deck. This particular image also made it's way to the video display of our rental car. Technology is fun!

Artfully lighted.

Note the placement of the man's hand; thus the title.

This is actually life sized.

Please note the exquisite details, a hallmark of every Dr. “The Original Chip” Mac, Esq. creation.

Building a HENGE Are We...

This is a picture of the desk of yours truly. I have been asked on a number of occasions as to why I have a miniature Stonehenge and cannot provide any answer other than "doesn't everyone need a scale model of Stonehenge?" I haven't gotten enough power from it to smote my enemies yet, but I'm sure that it is simply a matter of time.

The observant among you will also notice the juggling balls behind the Rubik's cube and that there are three sizes of Barrel of Monkeys.

The Advantage of Owning the Bar

This fantastic sign lives on the jukebox at one of our local imbibing establishments. I know that this is a bit hard to read so I shall transcribe it:
!!! ATTENTION !!!
IF YOU PLAY RAP, HIP HOP, HEADBANGER CRAP,
OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT PISSES RUSS OFF,
YOUR SONGS WILL BE SKIPPED WITHOUT REFUND.

I love this concept of this: it proclaims that, in reality, the customer is NOT always right. I have spent a good portion of my life in customer service and I have become a firm believer of this idea, but I have never seen it expressed so eloquently. Kudos, Russ!

Tooting His Own Horn!

Here is an article that Momo ran across. Since this isn't an original photo I will not post it here, but it definitely includes a WTFoto. Please enjoy.

Guest Submission!

Grapril has once again come through for me. Thanks, Grapey!

Well, my day wasn't going so hot until this. My boss actually called me as he was leaving the office to let me know of this little gem. Here's a recap of the convo:
Him: "You're from a small town, right?"
Me: "Yes...."
"I'm from a relativley small town, too. But never in all my years have I seen a van like the one out front."
"What do you mean?"
"Have you ever seen a van with a window air conditioner unit sticking out of it?"
"WHAT? You're telling me there's a van with an air conditioner sticking out of it in front of our building?!?"
"I've never seen something like that before. Have you?"
"No, can't say that I have. Thanks for calling to tell me! I'm taking a picture of that!"
"That's what I thought. You're welcome."
And yet another example of how cool my boss is.

Walter Meyer, Pilot Extraordinaire

My uncle passed away on the 4th and was laid to rest yesterday. He was a brother, uncle, father, and grandfather, but most of all, he was an extradordinary man. He was a true patriot who dearly loved his country and proudly served as a World War II fighter pilot. He was kind and a gentleman to all he met. He will be missed.

Monkeys Are Finally Earning Their Keep

A co-worker placed an order from Think Geek (http://www.thinkgeek.com) and received his product wrapped in these. In addition to being "signed" by a number of people who I don't know, it is apparently filled with monkey breath (click to enbiggen).

Math Is Hard

Momo received this nice correspondence the other day. At first it seemed like a normal piece of junk mail until she read the "Important Member Benefit Bulletin" box. Please enbiggen and read for yourself.

Are these really the type of people they want to insure? Those who can't add one year to their current age on their own? Seems like that kind of person would be a bad bet for life insurance.

God Bless Them...Every One

I saw this while at lunch one day. I guess I understand the sentiment (I assume they have a child who is a sniper in the military), but the wording is just sort of odd. I wonder if the maker of this sticker has an entire line of specialties (...Especially Our Navigators, ...Especially Our Drill Sergeants, ... Especially Our Rear Admirals).

Two other items of note in this picture: the Harley Davidson sticker and the fact that both are on the rear window of a $40,000 vehicle (a Cadillac DTS, if I remember correctly).
