Follow The Yellow Paint Road

Another submission  from field correspondent Shu.

This is the result when you forget to include the cost of concrete in your Sidewalk Repair budget proposal.

Editor's Note:  I must disagree with Shu in that the amazing tensile strength of yellow paint has been known for years.  I think it is the only thing holding the float trip buses together.

Not Racist

Field correspondent Frankie took this picture and send it my way.  Click the image to enbiggen.

This is a picture of a box of printable labels for centrifuge tubes.  If you don't know what those are for, don't worry; that is, unfortunately, the least relevant fact in this post.  Apparently these labels have been made to resist cold temperatures.  This is a feature that should be highlighted somehow so the potential users understand.  Man, if there were just some way of conveying this information whilst also reinforcing a stereotype.  If only....

One For The Guys

Field corespondent Bat took this pic and sent it my way.

Allow me to explain to the ladies in the audience why this is a What The Foto.  Often the urinals are in a row without even partitions between them.  What we have here is a urinal in its own stall, albeit a quite small one, providing unprecedented privacy when one's dangley bits are out.  So this qualifies as an excellent urinal or a terrible toilet.

The Allah Code?

I found this picture that Mrs. Captain Dr. "The Original Chip" Mac, esq. sent to me some time ago.

I'm sure the owner of this sign is very tolerant and in no way is implying that other religions are lessor than the one they have subscribed to.  It is just a call to action.  We need to start searching for those clues and put them together if we're going to prevent the Armageddon.  I certainly hope that Tom Hanks gets on this soon.

This Is Obviously Not A Target

Captain Dr. "The Original Chip" Mac, esq. presents another submission.

Clearly this sign is not a target.  If it were a target, it would be illegal to shoot it.  Since there are a number of bullet holes in it, that would be breaking the law if it were a target.  Therefore this sign cannot be a target.  This is the transitive law of logic and it is infallible.

Goodbye, Gray Dog.

He was a pain in the ass.  He was a tripping hazard (hence the cones).  He was allergic to just about everything.  I'm going to miss him.

Let Us Know If You Like Special Insults

I saw this on the front window of a local business.  Click the picture to enbiggen.

Wow.  Just wow.  "Special Problems"?  It's difficult to make that more insulting.  But I am willing to let you, the gentle reader, try.  Let's start with:
 - Let us know if you are physically or mentally "special"

Location, Location, Location

This post comes from Field Correspondent Shu.

Observed during a recent restaurant visit. Either nobody noticed the sink when they installed the dryer or nobody noticed the dryer when they installed the sink.

Editor's Note:  I think it's genius.  This way the counter stays dry and all errant trash gets blown into the receptacle hole.

Missing Your Kid? Bring Your Shovel.

Today's entry comes from our newest field correspondent Lando.  She saw this on vacation and sent it my way.

Apparently children make excellent fertilizer.  Mayhap Rick Moranis has been there and miniaturized them.  Or perhaps they are so lost that they don't even appear on camera.  In any case, one might reconsider bringing children anywhere near that tiny garden.

Editor's note:  I've been asked about the third option enough that I have to explain it.  It's a reference to The Lost Boys, the 80s movie staring Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, the Coreys and various other heartthrobs.  It's about children who are vampires, which do not appear in mirrors or pictures.

This Sign Is Not Doing Its Job

The primary purpose of installing a sign is to inform.  It may also attempt persuade, but that happens after getting the information across.  This sign is doing nothing causing confusion and taking up space.  Even knowing the fact the "BLOOMERS" is the name of the business doesn't help.  What is up with half of the sign being blank?  What's up with black lettering (the last 'G' is literally hanging off the sign)?  Why must this sign exist?
